Tomorrow evening, I shall have a distinguished guest in my seminar on Foreign Affairs at the International Center for Graduates, Catholic University, UCAB.   Prof.  Christian Harlang is a well-known Attorney at Law in Denmark. Member of the Supreme Court , an European authority in cases involving violation of Human Rights. The lecture will be broadcast simultaneously from Copenhagen. Prof. Harlang will discuss the legality of the involvement in the Iraq War and its consequences under international law.

Last week, our guest was, Ambassador Oscar de Rojas who has played an important role in Venezuelan foreign affairs.He is a former General Director for International Economic Relations and Cooperation at the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry. Amb. de Rojas was entrusted  since 2002 to monitor the implementation of the Monterrey Consensus on Financing for Development, in the United Nations Secretariat, as Director of the Office created for that purpose. He lectured from New York wher he is residing, on "the Future of the International Financial System".

Hoy por la noche estará invitado el Prof. Christian Harlang como invitado especial a nuestro seminario sobre  relaciones internacionales en el Centro Internacional de Actualización Profesional de la UCAB. El Dr. Harlang es un reconocido abogado  europeo especialista en la defensa de los derechos humanos. Será realizado directamente desde Copenhague. Su disertación será sobre la guerra en Irak y el derecho internacional.
